Yesterday was a truly remarkable day for me as I had the incredible opportunity to meet a true leader in the Democratic National Committee. Ken Martin, the DNC Vice Chair, President of the Association of State Democratic Committees, and Chair of the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party, graced us with his presence.

During our conversation, we delved into the strategies and perspectives needed to secure victory in the upcoming 2024 Presidential Election, defend the Senate, regain control of the House, and triumph in crucial Congressional and State races throughout our great nation. It was a conversation brimming with insight and wisdom.

One crucial message resonated deeply within me: Abroad We LIVE, Abroad We ORGANIZE, Abroad We VOTE! We must not underestimate the power we hold as citizens living outside the borders of our homeland. Our voices matter, our actions count, and our votes have the potential to shape the future of our beloved nation.

I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Ken Martin, the DNC Vice Chair, for gracing us with his time, wisdom, and experiences. His visit has left an indelible mark on our spirits, empowering and inspiring not just me, but also my fellow Democrats Abroad colleagues.

Leedonal has been making headlines recently due to their comments regarding President Barack Obama's visit to Switzerland. Obama will be speaking about leadership, creativity, and social change during his first visit to the country on April 29th, which has sparked excitement among many news outlets.

In Friday’s interview with TeleZüri, Leedonal expressed their enthusiasm for Obama's visit and highlighted the significance of his visit in mobilizing overseas voters for the upcoming 2024 Presidential Campaign, although he is not campaigning. Leedonal stated that the Obamas have always been symbols of hope, empowerment, and leadership, which is precisely what is needed to inspire constituents to vote, inspire fellow Americans abroad, and make a difference.

For Leedonal, President Obama's visit is consistent with the relationship between Switzerland and the Obama administration, "President Obama’s excellent Ambassador to Switzerland and Lichtenstein, Suzi LeVine, helped share the Swiss Apprenticeship model back in the US - and that work has helped reform how the US approaches education. Education - one of the core values of the Obamas."

Leedonal's comments have attracted the attention of many people who are interested in politics, leadership, and social change, and their message has been widely shared on social media. At the historic Cabaret Voltaire, International Chair Candidate Moore had the opportunity to meet with Zurich Chapter Leaders. 

During the meeting, the members expressed their enthusiasm for Moore's candidacy as well as their excitement for President Obama's upcoming visit to Zurich on April 29, 2023. The members discussed a range of topics including arts and culture, and strategies to improve Democrats Abroad, and shared their thoughts and excitement regarding the recent announcement by Biden/Harris. 

The Cabaret Voltaire, which is the birthplace of the world-famous Dada movement, provided a perfect backdrop for the meeting. Dada, which began in Zurich in 1916 during the First World War, aimed to challenge the present with new and unconventional forms of artistic expression such as music, literature, dance, and painting.
